Entries are now being accepted for the 2014 UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation.

The Awards were established in 2000 to recognize the excellent achievement of individuals and organizations within the private sector, and public-private initiatives, in successfully conserving structures of heritage value the region. Award-winning projects serve as catalysts and a source of inspiration for private individuals and institutions in conserving cultural heritage throughout the region. Since 2000, UNESCO has received 556 entries from 24 countries. A total of 160 projects have received Awards for exemplary conservation efforts, while 8 projects have received the Jury Commendation for Innovation, which is a special category which recognizes contemporary architectural interventions within historic contexts.
